Here's my reading plan for January:
I've already started this one, and although it started off a bit slow, I'm very interested to see where it goes now. I got this one from the library.
This is the sequel to Inside Out. I've got in waiting on my e-reader from Netgalley, so if the first one turns out well, I'll be reading on.
I haven't had this one on my shelves as long as others. I think I bought it in 2010, but it seems like it might be a quicker read, and with some of the doorstoppers I've got lined up, I need something a little shorter.
I received this for review way too long ago for it to still be sitting on my shelf. I'm putting on my ashamed face, and I'm going to get to it this month!
I probably wouldn't be reading this except that it's a group pick at The Reading Cove, a reading group I've been a member of on and off for years. I've never read this author, and I'm usually not into historicals, but I'll give it a go. Got this from the library.
Another one of my goals this year is to catch up on the many, many series I've started and not finished. This is one of them, and since the books were so recently published, I don't feel too far behind on reading them. Plus, I really liked the first one. I got this one from the library.
This is another one that hasn't been on my shelves as long as some others, but it sounds good, so I'm putting it on my list.
I've got the first 10 books in this series on my shelf, so this year I'm going to try to make my way through the series, maybe one each month. I've already read the first one, and I'd love to get caught up.
This book has been on my shelf for quite some time. I'm not sure if I'll read The Tunesmith or not. At one point I wanted to read everything Card had written, so I've got most of his books on my shelves. I'm not so gung-ho on the idea anymore, but I might as well read what I've got.
I've got this on my e-reader from Netgalley. I don't really think I'll get to it this month, but if I have time I will. If not, it'll definitely be on the list for next month.
The author of this one asked me to review it a bit ago, and I really need to get it read. It looks really cute, and I've already got it loaded onto my e-reader waiting for me.
So, that's it. Because of the length of some of these books I'm fully expecting to not complete all I would like to this month, but that doesn't mean I can't try. Maybe I'll surprise myself. I've also got about three or so reviews I need to write for books I've already read. And because I probably won't get around to posting about it, I went to a Brandon Sanderson signing, or as a friend of mine says, I got my fangirl on. I got The Way of Kings and the first Alcatraz book signed. It was quite a long line (I waited for an hour and a half), but Brandon Sanderson is a very nice, friendly author and I think it's awesome how much time he spends signing books for fans, and still manages to get so many great books written.

ReplyDeleteThe Wheel Of Time. Fantastic till book 7 or so...where the pace drops to a trickle..but once the 12th book is picked up by Sanderson...the series rockets off into awesomeness once more. I wish you luck on your list, it seems like a good one!

Thanks Scott! I've heard WoT starts to drag a bit near the middle of the series, and I'm dreading that a bit, but I've got to catch up on it so I can read the ones written by Sanderson. He's one of my favorites.
